You can also do this with items in another player's inventory, and sometimes to other p layers' heads, if they aren't looking.Another type of griefing that occurs often in Minecraft is mob griefing. Mob griefing is when a player damages or kills another player because they're trying to protect a certain mob. To accomplish this, the player will kill the mob before taking control of it and then take it to a safe location. This may be close to their own home, or somewhere else near their home.If you decide to ban griefing in your server, there are some things that you can do. First, you should have a custom grief prevention timer that can be set up. When the timer gets to zero, anyone who griefs or has griefed, the player who set the timer will be banned permanently. Other options that you can implement include setting up a 'no griefing' rule that will ban refers at the end of each day, or when a certain number of griefers are reached.If you don't want to ban griefers at all, then you might want to ban griefing entirely. You can do this by making it so that griefing is so mething that can only happen to certain players, and only when they are in a specific area. You could also make it so that it's only allowed during certain times of the day, or during the night. If a griefer gets to one of these areas, they will get a 'mistaken identity' ban that can last anywhere from twenty minutes to an entire day.The best way to prevent griefing from occurring is to make sure that you ban all griefers.
